      Reporting to the Sr. Director of Commercial Account Management, the Account Manager will be dedicated to Provider Data Management and is responsible for ensuring customer success by proactively building, maintaining, and expanding relationships with customers to advance the direction of Availity in the healthcare information technology marketplace.

      This is a client-facing role requiring strong relationship and account management skills. At the same time, you will work with business and technology teams to ensure that the products and solutions are delivering value to the client. Any technical issues and/or product training needs are surfaced early, tracked and resolved through the appropriate channels. The ideal candidate is hands-on and results-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

      The Account Manager is an expert on their book of business and represents the voice of the customer internally and the interests of the organization externally. The Account Manager is an expert communicator and relationship builder that implements key marketing strategies to enhance the position of the company.

      Some travel is required.

      To be qualified for this role you:
      • Have at least 3 years of account or customer management experience in healthcare, payer, provider relations, or technology environment.
      • Have an associate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or equivalent work experience, bachelor's degree a plus.
      • Have strong interpersonal skills. Experience facilitating meetings and engaging with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization is vital.
      • Have knowledge of healthcare payer processing, provider/hospital office operations, customer service and IT operations.
      • Are a problem-solver who listens to business problems and can provide potential solutions.
      • Have strong analytical and research skills.
      • Have demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.
      • Have knowledge of technical systems integration.
      • Have HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) knowledge.

      What you will be doing:
      • Master the Provider Data Management (PDM) product.
      • Coordinate product development status updates and lead client meetings on related topics.
      • Support the relationship between Provider Data Management client and Availity, and act as a point of contact for accountability, issue escalation/resolution, and product implementations.
      • Partner with Client Success Managers in key conversations with Providers and Health Plan Clients.
      • Develop an understanding of the client's business and internal workflow and understand issues/pain points from their perspective and how Availity products and solutions solve their most pressing problems.
      • Support aspects of the re-contracting process including pricing, proposal, administration functions, preparation for negotiations and customer presentations.
      • Obtain, utilize, and accurately summarize key competitive data to affect positive account growth.
      • Work with cross functional teams to coordinate and implement new functionality for assigned account(s).
      • Manage scope creep, internally and externally.
      • Act as an escalation point to drive resolution in a timely, proactive manner.
      • Monitor client health to identify potential risk and develop a remediation plan.
      • Act as the client advocate when working with internal teams to ensure client's requests are being met and issues are being researched and resolved.
      • Coordinate with other Availity Account Managers for updates to clients they already manage outside of this existing relationship.
      • Stay current on industry and competitive trends and apply knowledge of marketplace to account planning processes.
      • Identify and coordinate marketing, management, and technical resources necessary to achieve existing account up-sell objectives.
      • Communicate with account(s) on a regular basis based on tier structure and need, via newsletters, email, phone, and/or face to face meetings.
      • While supporting the customer relationship, will organically solution for and identify opportunities where the Sr. Director can engage to up-sell new products or services
      • Oversee implementation to production.
      • Report regularly on the progress and accomplishment of stated goals by updating metrics that track results.
      • Build strong inter-departmental relationships to achieve individual and Account Management team objectives.
      • Establish, maintain, and update relationship plans.
